Create login and network profiles

Save access and networking settings once, then reuse them every time you launch an instance.

Login profiles store how you authenticate to new instances, including SSH keys and password options. Network profiles store firewall and networking choices so launches stay consistent.

Create profiles in the region where you will launch. Profiles are selected during provision and reduce repeated setup for every instance.

Create a login profile

  1. Open Login Profiles

in Compute, go to Login Profiles.

  2. Start create

select Create profile and enter a clear profile name.

  3. Choose authentication

enable SSH key, password, or both for first access.

  4. Add SSH material

create a new key in Mutire, or import an existing public OpenSSH key.

  5. Review and save

confirm password options if used, then create the profile for later launches.

Create a network profile

  1. Open Network Profiles

in Compute, go to Network, then Network Profiles.

  2. Start create

select Create profile and name the profile for its purpose, such as web or app.

  3. Attach a firewall

select an existing firewall or create one if you need a new rule set.

  4. Set networking options

choose the networking settings your launches should reuse.

  5. Save the profile

create it, then select it during Launch so new instances inherit the same network posture.
